Les Chandelles is famous for its restrictive policies. There are also no BDSM, collars or accessories in that genre allowed. The policies did not bother us at all, and we think Les Chandelles stand out as a great swinger club in Paris. While the online ratings only give this club 3 out of 5 stars, we give it 5 stars, with praise! We noticed a lot of the bad reviews were from those who were actually barred from the club and never stepped a foot inside. While those are unfortunate experiences, they do not accurately portray the experience of the actual customers.
All the other days are only for couples. The center of the club is a big, luxurious bar with great service and quality drinks. Attached is a small dance floor , poles for dancing, sofas and a table with an assortment of candies and chocolates for nibbling. On one floor of the house the restaurant offers quality French food in a luxurious environment. They offer lunch and dinner, but on a set schedule. Lunch is on Thursdays and on the last Saturday of each month and is much cheaper than dinner.
Dinner is offered on most days, except Tuesday and Sunday, and requires a reservation, as usual in Paris, even in swinger clubs as we can see. Reserved dinner is a closed menu β a formule in French β dining option that includes appetizers, a main entree, dessert, a bottle of champagne, access to the club and two additional drinks. They charge Euros per couple, making it a bit expensive for some people. If that price tag seems a bit too hefty, you can choose to get a la carte dinner that prices per type of meal you receive.
At the time that we visited, it cost 22 Euros for appetizers, Euros for a main course and 12 Euros for dessert. An even more economical option is offered on Mondays where you pay 98 Euros with access to the club which includes full dinner as well. If you like the idea, it should be a perfect evening. Unlike other clubs, Les Chandelles does not have private rooms that lock. All of the spaces are public and other couples may always join the action. Do not confuse chic with prudish ; the club itself is chic but the sex rolls loose.
Minus the bar, people are fucking everywhere. Upon arrival at the club, you can leave your cell phone, wallet, purse, and jacket at the front desk. It is a bit strange for us as Brazilians to leave our wallet and cash at the entrance, so we only took what was essential and left the rest at our hotel. Everyone remains clothed or at least partially dressed at all times. It is not a club like Fun4Two or Fata Morgana that you stay in just your underwear.
